What to expect during your stay

During your stay at OFC, you will be supported by our staff. You will be responsible for all aspects of your child’s/children’s care. Maternal and Child Health Nurses and Mothercraft Nurses are on the premises at all times during your stay.

Our staff will plan a mutually agreed strategy with each family according to their needs and the age of their child or children.  Your care plan is flexible and individual. You will receive one-to-one coaching and counselling, as well as attending group education sessions with other parents.

Education program includes sessions on; toddler behaviour, normal infant development, self care, sleeping and settling, mental well-being and other issues that are relevant to you. Fathers are encouraged to attend an education session on Wednesday evening.
